By now we know that Western Avenue has its fair share of Walkability Challenges. As one of the world’s leading community walkability experts, there’s no one better than Dan Burden of the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute to help us understand what’s going on on Western Avenue.
Last year, the Office of Sustainability had Dan Burden lead a community workshop focusing on the Plaza District, Gatewood, and Classen-Ten-Penn neighborhoods. We are glad that the folks at the Office of Sustainability wanted to bring Dan back and collaborate with our ongoing project on Western Avenue.
