Community assistance projects are a collaborative effort between the OU Institute for Quality Communities, Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture, and representatives from communities in Oklahoma. Projects result in conceptual design and planning assistance. Common topics include land use, urban design, public spaces, historic preservation, streetscapes, and other aspects of the built environment. Studio courses may also address building projects, with particular emphasis on multi-family housing, senior housing, healthcare, commercial and industrial building types, or cultural facilities.
